Any Firearms Collectors?

Hey everyone.. So I got the OK from the wife to start get my PAL, and now I think I'm going to start a small collection of firearms. And yes, I will be selling some TF stuff to make some money for the new hobby, so there will be a few deals to be had for sure.

I was curious if there are any other collectors out there? if so, do you have a few pieces, or a large collection? I'm only planning on a 22lr, and a shotgun to start.. but who knows where things will go from there...lol

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

Thought about buying a Sig Sauer or Colt 1911 .45 ACP a few years ago...

...but one visit to my local indoor range instilled enough respectful fear to avoid a purchase.

Coincidentally, I picked up a Armorer Works M712 DL-44 airsoft pistol on my 43rd birthday:

Based on the fully automatic "Schnellfeuer" variant of the Broomhandle Mauser, and very close to what Harrison Ford used in The Force Awakens. It is a lot of fun to plink away and 'shoot first' at paper targets in my office.

Here's the real deal in action, an M712 chambered for 7.63mm

And a couple C96 Mausers mocked up like DL-44s:

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

Funny you should mention, but I have actually thought about taking up shooting too.

Which is odd because I am a stark proponent of gun control.

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

I have a couple of airguns, but I want to get something with a little more kick to it..lol

I am all for gun control, and proper storage and use. I would also like to see stricter penalties for those who commit crimes using guns.

I've been looking for the new Umarex Walther PPK/S myself. I emailed replicaairguns.ca/ but they said they don't have it...

Hey Darth,

I'll sell ya my two-toned Crossman PPK/S, complete with some CO2 cylinders and BBs, and an olive green carrying case with a huge "007" logo sticker on the side.

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

I have a modest collection that I have been building since I finished school. You can't go wrong with a .22 or shotgun to start off with. I would recommend that you get your RPAL when you go for your PAL since it will be easier than going back a second time if you decide you want the upgrade.

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

I prefer air-soft guns to real guns... as I don't have a use for a real gun anyway. Airguns are also much less trouble to own, in the end. I am not saying what to do to anyone, btw.
Just my opinion.

Re: Any Firearms Collectors?

I've only ever gone to ranges in the US. But I have done that quite a few times. Have to say, the pump action 12 gauge rocks.
