It's also possible that they were just told to put these up on May 1st, which just happened to be the day after an applicable sale. Perhaps the timing was just unfortunate.

These are TF toys and the sheer amount of collectors out there practically guarantee first batches of any wave will sell out at full price. Why shouldn't they try to maximize their sales? People who have the "want it now!" mentality will buy it regardless of the price. Those who will wait for a sale will wait for a sale and buy it then. They just have to wait and can't be apart of the guys that get the toys early.

Do CW G1 Megatron and Armada Megatron share the same SKU in ToyRus system? If they do share the same sku, how does the company know which one is more popular? Apparently everyone wants the G1 Megatron not the Armada version.

How about every now and again make an employee take a picture of the shelves in an actual store & send them to head office ? That'll tell them right away that every1 wants the G1 Megs so they can stop making more Armada's ... nobody wants those.
