Re: Hearts of Steel: Optimus Prime

Those are wicked! My friend was telling me about these. Are these the only 2 ever made, or is there like a kit that you can buy to build these?

Re: Hearts of Steel: Optimus Prime

My understanding is that it is an expensive and limited production kit.

Actually the kit is pretty much limited so you gotta go to his blog to pre-order if keen. It's not pricey if you are to fix it your self? It's 120 per kit. All his pricing scheme is at his blog at http://griffith-monolog.blogspot.com/

Re: Hearts of Steel: Optimus Prime

Ah, okay, so I'm right that it's limited production. $120 for a 6.5 inch figure, I don't know, maybe I'm crazy but I consider that expensive, especially considering you have to do some drilling, assembly, touch ups, etc. yourself. Then again I'm not into gundam or a lot of the other expensive hobbies that require you to assemble things yourself, so I'd just mess it up. :-D

It is a really great looking figure though, just not something I would be interested in, in its current state.

Hehe..I know what u mean. I ordered from eric, assembled as well for my own collection. I'll probably screw it up trying to fix it on my own
But I can say this as a collector. The toy is just darn gorgeous even in its unpainted glory. I'm leaving mine unpainted!
