No they haven't. At my local store (in Midland), the $19.99 price for Generations Deluxes only went into effect early last year. Same with the random $17.99 for HFTD Deluxes. Prior to that, everything was at the $16.99 price point.

I actually used to like "hunting" at my local store. Back then it was okay. Now, however, I won't even go into Zellers. I can't accept them just striving to fuck over their customers. Won't go there for anything, not even price matches. There are plenty of other business out there that aren't looking to screw us over at the first opportunity, (the good ones wait until the third or fourth opportunity).

I won't miss Zellers one bit. The closest one to me is turning into a smaller Wal-Mart, and Target isn't too far out of my normal toy loop. Their current 'liquidation' is a whopping 20% off all toys. *twirls finger*

the FULL story is way too long to put into words here...

i tried take advantage of this at my local zellers store that had mislabeled the prices of ALL transformers prime toys. (16.99 deluxe and 27.99 voyagers)

when i got to the counter sure enough they rang up at the inflated prices of 24.99 and 34.99 (which btw they also have a 44.99 megablocks set selling for 79.99...(seriously...)

i told them they are NOT labeled that at the pegs and there was no way i was going to pay that when i could go to the walmart down the street and get the same thing for less including the gas money it took it get there. after some bickering they told me they would honor the prices on the pegs if they walked back with me and looked and it turned out to be the case....well, we get there and guess what?

they had called the girl for that section and she was busy ripping down the tags before we could even walk back there and changing them over. they both looked at me smiling like they had just got one over on me.

needless to say i will never be walking in that store again and a call to corporate was placed.

OH! and they would also not honor price matching despite it saying so right at the customer support counter...what a joke this store is. this sale amounts to "buy tf's at normal retail prices"
