How long does it typically take for stuff to reach us from the states?

I ordered something from a fellow board member on TFW and it's been a long time since I ordered anything from the states, I recall BBTS orders took a lengthy time, I didn't think mail from an individual would be as slow paced as that to cross through customs.

I mean in theory, based on my limited knowledge of the situation, if an item was mailed out on June 23rd, should I or should I not have received it by now? (Even factoring in the delay of Canada Day.)

It's possible the item was shipped after the 23rd, or didn't leave the branch of whatever service they used until the 24th or even 25th based on how they sort stuff and everything. I don't know, I haven't dealt with over the boarder ordering in a long while so maybe I'm just a bit paranoid. (Understandably impatient though, who wouldn't be when waiting for something to ship.)

I wasn't provided with any kind of tracking information, just told that it would arrive in about 10 days, so yeah and we're talking a small envelope here not any kind of package as it was the Botcon Kreon set for this year.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if I should start questioning anything by this point or give it until Friday at the latest before I approach the seller with further questions.

Even if you didnt get tracking, you should have gotten some confirmation info.
Unless you know for sure when it shipped, it's hard to have an expected arrival date.

I would give it till Monday to be honest. I've had a number of things bought from the states and some have taken as long as 28 days

every package from the states has tracking, ask for the delivery confirmation code or customs number

Even if it's just mailed in an envelope? I mean I don't know what others would do, but a simple bubble mailer would be the best choice for something as small as the Kreon Souvenir pack.

if it has more than paper, it should have a customs declaration number, which is trackable. if it's a regular envelope, i would bank on it being gone. The rollers that sort mail would tear it right out of there (in some cases with a bubble envelope as well) I have never had a box go missing, but i've never received anything that was mailed in an envelope, they all disappeared

I'm in Rural NB cashed in my stack @ TF source on june 26th just arrived today. besides Canada day you also have to figure in the American long weekend, so i'd hold tight till friday afternoon before i got worried.

I agree. I've had packages sit with Canada Customs "for further processing" for close to a week in the past. If it's an inexpensive item and the seller's feedback checks out, I'd let it ride for now.

I've found 4-5 weeks on average depending on if it gets caught in customs.

About 10 days unless it gets held at Customs. I've had things take 3 weeks if they have to open it up and check it out.
