Why do so many Dinobots look ridiculous?

yeah, yeah. we all want a more updated G1 Dinobots, the classics grimlock was preaty stupid, the engineering and size of it were so off.

you have to remember they are toys for kids, I got my BW Dinobot annivarsary edition at 11 because I didnt have the chance to get the original, I dont mind it back then and now, what I hated was the universe 2.0 dinobot, the colours were off and something about it was wrong.

Magmatron at the time was cool but now not as much

BW Megatron looks silly to you? he is the best at the time and still is when it comes to a dinosaur transformers

for the grimlockXswoop combine, who's great Idea was it to combine Dinobots? who's dream is to have robot dinosaurs combine?(besides MM Power Rangers)

you cant complain to Animated Dinobots, thats a completely diffrent thing. I think they are the closest thing we got to G1.

Never had the G1 dinobots because I wasnt born yet, but I wouldnt mind owning them

I'm just happythat we've gotten more dinobot figures since G1, some were hits and some were misses.

The only thing that really puzzles me is why after G1 Sludge, did we never get another brontosaurus style dinosaur figure in all these years.
They were always my favourite dinosaurs growing up.

I think the whole problem is that cars, trucks and planes lend themselves to becoming robots much easier than dinosaurs, birds or any other animal. With a beastformer you're bound to have kibble in either form. That or really unnatural shapes. Vehicles just have so much more internal space to hide things. Or at least that's how it feels to me.

I almost wonder what a movieverse GRimlock would look like.

I don't know, I really loved the Animated Dinos, that Grimlock was perfect IMO.

However, nothing else compares to G1 Dinos..

Animated Grimlock and Swoop were pretty cool. Universe Dinobot was badass aswell. I liked a few of the drone dino's from Energon.

I love the Animated Dinobots. I wish they had done them all. G1 still reigns supreme though. Hasbro should do them all as MPs.

I've always had a soft spot for all the BM Dinobots. I think the transformations are all pretty good, especially considering the organic nature of their dino-modes. If there was a war between all the Dinobot teams ever, the BM team would win. And how can anyone not like Magmatron's Elasmosaurus?
