Doctor Who Day of the doctor
I remember a while ago a thread being created about seeing a G1 galvatron appear in a Doctor who episode.Based on that i know there are fans of the program on this board and was wondering how many people watched the 50th anniversary epiosde on the weekend. What format did anyone watch it in(no commercials, commercials, theaters in 3d)?What was the general feeling you got when it ended after waiting sooooooooo long to see it(satisfied or upset)?I suppose i shouldn't say too much about it for those who may have missed it but still wish to see it but i will say i saw the no commercial airing and felt the show was well worth the wait.I didn't feel let down in any way with what they did.All comments positive or negative about the show are welcome but please be considerate for those who still haven't seen it yet.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
I saw it on space. It wasn't what I expected, but I got over it. And in the end I was very satisfied. I could pick it apart, and it definitely wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it regardless.
Part of the awesome of this past weekend was Dr Who was on all Saturday and most of Sunday when I turned on the TV.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
Having doctor who or related shows on all weekend was pretty awesome.I missed most of it due to my works yearly inventory but did manage to catch the anniversary show which was all that really mattered to me.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
I thought "The Day of the Doctor" was awesome! Then, there were all the specials that aired on SPACE too, like the spotlights on each Dr., the "best of" episodes, the tv-movie style biography of the early years (An Adventure in Time and Space) Then there's the online-exclusive shorts like "The Five(ish) Doctors." Man, that was freakin' hilarious!
The show-runners really did a great job IMO on celebrating 50 years and satisfying the fans.
I hope that the Star Trek franchise can do that great a job in 2016 for Star Trek's 50th.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
It was good enough that I was satisfied. Not a super episode, but good enough for the 50th.
I caught the no commercial online version.

When Tom Baker appeared as the Gallery Curator/(maybe) 4th Doctor I squee'd with fanboy ecstasy.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
I thought it was very satisfying to me and enjoyed the easter eggs throughout the show. The final seen with all the doctors incarnation made me geek out a bit.

Re: Doctor Who Day of the doctor
My love of all things Doctor Who is seconded only by Transformers. I watched the episode on Space on the Saturday and then again at the theater on Monday and I have to say that yes it has it's share of plot holes (writing for anything involving time travel usually does!) but I absolutely LOVED it even though we have to wait till Christmas day to find out how the hell he can regenerate into the 14th doctor when they are only supposed to have 13 bodies! The Theater experience was a blast too with the special intro setting up the 3D with the 3 Doctors and the exclusive behind the scenes short after the film.
