Just curious has anyone else had delays with SAL shipments from Japan? They usually arrive within a month. It's been almost 6 weeks.

I'm waiting on two shipped by SAL from back in September.

One shipped Sept 12
One shipped Sept 21

Neither have arrived. Funnily, my Kup shipped by SAL on Oct 1 arrived on the 20th. Difference is I shipped to home instead of work...hmmm...

Hey Guys, I had same issue to with AmiAmi's SAL Shipping. Got the shipping notice start of September and still nothing so I sent them an inquiry. This is what I got:


While SAL shipments generally take 2-5 weeks for delivery, please understa
nd that it is not uncommon for them to take 8 weeks or longer depending on
mailing conditions and destination. It is also not uncommon for parcels th
at were sent later to arrive before parcels that were shipped earlier. Thi
s is because SAL shipments are not considered as priority shipments. They
are only shipped when there is extra room available on a plane, track, tra
in, etc. Some parcels may move through relatively quickly but others may b
e delayed or take longer to reach their destination.

Please keep in mind that the registration number for SAL shipments is not
actually a "tracking number," but more like a delivery confirmation number
. In many cases (particularly for certain countries), SAL shipments may no
t be scanned or updated within their destination country until they actual
ly arrive at their final destination. You may see that your parcel has lef
t Japan (when on the status it is written "Dispatch" it means it left Jap
an) and no other activity on the online tracking page for several weeks. T
his is not unusual however and does not indicate that anything is wrong wi
th your shipment. Depending on the country, this may be the only type of r
esult returned for SAL shipments.

In any case, almost all SAL shipments will arrive at their final destinati
on if given enough time. If you still do not receive your parcel after 8 w
eeks have passed since it was dispatched from Japan, please contact us aga
in and at that time we can try contacting Japan Post on your behalf to req
uest an investigation. Unfortunately we cannot request an investigation an
y earlier than this but we will be able to assist with filing for compensa
tion if your parcel is determined to be lost.

TL;DR - Due to non priority, it can take an additional couple weeks for a total of 8 weeks until the sender is able to do anything about it.

I still have not received my S.H. Figuarts Captain Phasma + First Order Stormtrooper with BB-9E Special Set shipped by Amiami on Sept 9 with Registered SAL Small Packet. Japan Post shows it left Tokyo on Sept 14 and I still have not received it.

But on Oct 10 I received my Zaku Heads shipped by Amiami on Sept 23 with Unregistered SAL Small Packet.

I also contacted Amiami and got the same standard reply as AeroShake.

On a positive notes...glad to hear I am not alone.

My item (which shipped Sept 7) finally arrived today too! Wonder if the Force Friday orders had something to do with the slow down!

Sorta relieved I haven't been the only one that's been waiting. I just got my TLK Leader Megatron on Thursday. Order it 6-7 weeks ago and felt like it would never arrive. Still waiting on MPM-4 Optimus, S.H.Figuarts SSJ3 Goku, and other stuff that should of arrived long ago.

edit: Leader Megatron sucks, btw. No surprise. It is as annoying as I've seen in reviews.
