I bought the MP31 plus one Robot Damahii item ( I found adding one smaller item won't change the shipping of MP31), and chose the slowest shipping (which is boat with tracking and insurance), only 2900 yen.

So the total comes to 123 USD shipping included, pretty sweet deal.

Ouch I quoted Ultra Magnus out of curiosity, and Delta is almost 50% more to ship. I was pricing out JapanPost ECO/Reg.

Now unless I'm missing something, I think they come in the same darn box.

I have no problem with waiting, but these shipping fees are unreasonable for the service type.

I checked Ultra Magnus (C$245), and the comparable shipping is:
3-4 days: C$63
8-10 days: C$44.38
2-3 weeks: $34.86
3 months: C$32.90

for 1 Delta Magnus (C$101), shipping costs to ON
3-4 days: $72.80
8-10 days: $82.60
2-3 weeks: $70
3 month: $40

So they reduced the item prices, but jacked up the shipping. Still works out to be cheaper than regular price, but there's no real reason for this shipping cost differential...

I can only assume that the extra cost can be considered a shipping service fee as they are not making money on Delta Magus... so the labour to pack and post the item is not factored in the selling price.
