True, but I was thinking from a purely first-party standpoint.

Re: Could you recreate Transformers The Movie With Just Classic Figures?

So to recap, all we'd be missing would be :

1 - a truer version of Shockwave
2 - a temporary lack of Kickback and Brawn
3 - 4 Dinobots (Snarl is not in the movie)
4 - Ark and Nemesis playsets... (Metroplex is basically Autobot City)

Has/Tak need to come out with massive, USS Flagg-sized Ark and Nemesis playsets...

Technically, he was for a few brief shots.

But then this happened.

The G1 colored dinobots from the bayverse are actually pretty good classics dinobot stand ins.

Not sure if they count though.

I don't see why not, since they were advertised as being new toy representations of the G1 Dinobots.

I know we said no third party, but in terms of scale the fans project Insecticons are probably perfect, as far as I'm concerned they are classics.

Re: Could you recreate Transformers The Movie With Just Classic Figures?

I'm imagining a recreation similar to that fan-made Robocop movie. Hilarous, especially with the scales of the figures being way off.

As for Swoop, I nominate the Animated version instead of Strafe.

I think as many scenes as possible should include Snarl somewhere buried in the background, especially places he shouldn't be. Sort of a Where's Waldo easter egg.

Yep, good point and even the SDCC Ark "paper fold out" play set would help, plus you could use Metroplex for Autobit city, and Cybertron Primus for Cybertron...not sure about moon base 1 and 2...

Not sure if anybody mentioned it but you can use Energon Shockwave instead of FOC Shockwave if scale is an issue and you don't mind some brickishness

Legends brawn is actually pretty sweet, he's just small depending on which Bumblebee you use, the "Classics" Legends vs. The "Generations" Legend (5mm peg, IDW) vs. The classics Deluxe
