Hot Rod Coming to Transformers The Last Knight

Seems like a fan favorite character will be making his Transformer Movieverse entrance in Transformers The Last Knight. Thanks to the official Transformers FB page we now have a character model for none other than Hot Rod. Listed at 16 feet 1 inch tall, he is brother in arms with Bumblebee, brash, arrogant and a protector. Check out the image after the break and sound off in the forums!

Visually unpleasant, might look better in motion I guess.

Wow. If you showed me that without a name, I would absolutely NOT EVER guess that was fucking Hot Rod.

I don't even bother complaining about the movies, they're not for me, but is it impossible to put a well-known character in the fucking flicks that is semi-recognizable at a glance to their thirty year old iconography? I mean, seriously, he's not going to look the same, adapt how you want, but primus.

Looks more like a Cliffjumper to me. As much as I enjoy the films these naming flubs are always a bit silly.

For instance Hound would have been much better if he was names Bulkhead

I'll have to show this to the Hot Rod fan in the house after work today and see what he thinks. It's not his daddy's Oldsmobile, that's for sure.

Maybe in the Bayverse he's the one that gets killed.

Once call the characters of the new movie are named we should start a death poll to see which ones we think will get killed off.

Don't know why you guys keep complaining, but none of Bay's Transformers have matched up with their cartoon counterparts...
This is nothing new, and we are 5 movies into the series...
Just accept it already.. LOL

But I think it does look like a lean, mean, fighting machine, kinda like Lockdown. Does it look like a Corvette?

At least movie 1-3 Optimus Prime matched. It was still different than G1 Optimus Prime, but look at it you wouldn't confuse with some other characters.

Re: Hot Rod Coming to Transformers The Last Knight

Oh wow, it's clearly Cliffjumper. If it's Bee's "Brothers-in-Arms", has clear design references TO Bumblebee.

Yea, I generally don't say anything about movies. I gave up after the second, and my life is better not worrying about them. Had to headdesk on this particular one though. =P
