Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
Does anyone know if the Alliance Atlantis release of Beast Wars Season 1 has the proper longer opening sequence? The Rhino box set has an edited shorter opening which might have been the US version or something, not sure.
This is the proper opening.

Re: Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
I had the original release by Alliance, and it was the "Beasties" introduction.
The picture above is from a different release than I had, so that one could be different in some way. ...However, I doubt it.

Re: Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
It's the shorter one sadly. The longer version was only used during the brief run on Fox before Powerblock took over the show's Season 1 run and YTV's Beasties.
*EDIT* By the by, the Beast Wars VHS had the longer intros if your looking for them.

Re: Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
Weak, very weak. Well thanks for the answers. Whoever currently holds the rights to distribute Beast Wars needs to do a definitive release with the proper openings for Season 1 and 3 (Rhino fudged that up too). I'd kill for a Blu-ray release of the series.

Yeah a Blu-Ray version would be nice, might actually get me to buy a Blu-Ray player.

Re: Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
Why does the length of the opening sequence even matter? Hell, I don't even watch it! I always skip past it when I watch my dvd's. When I watch a show on dvd I watch it for the show, not the opening sequence.
I'm a hardcore G1 fan, and I don't even watch those openings!

Re: Question about Beast Wars Season 1 DVDs
It's not just shorter, it's almost completely different.

As you probably know, the Rhino BW box sets have several opening sequences which can be accessed in the special features.
I'm guessing there are MORE intro's to that show then?
