Why are they closing?

I've never even heard of the place before. They didn't have much for transformers.

Saw these new star wars toys at landsdowne tru yesterday.

It shows as a retail price of $17.99 USD on Hasbro.com but tru is selling them for $30 cad. It is hard to know who is doing this (increasing prices for Canadians), tru or Hasbro.

Hmm...interesting. We knew the Sixknight recolour for the MADLAW was coming but a G1 toy redeco of Code and a Sonic Bomber redeco of Smart Robin?

Damn, I just bought the original Code at the last R&R, thinking they'd never release him again. I guess I got a pretty good deal anyway, even if I slightly prefer the new deco. We're sure these are upcoming releases, not customs? I guess they do look like molded plastic, not painted except for details.

YEARS ago I worked out an excellent cash deal with JHobby-san (not his real name) back when they were located close to Richmond Sushi. $400 cash, no taxes for both MP-4 and MP-5 with not so stellar boxes but the bots inside were spearmint.

Sadly thats the only transaction I ever did with them. I'd pop in from time to time but the TFs were seldom, a few G1 reissues here and there.

Not suprised they're closing down though. They always seemed to have a lot of overstock.

Looks like the Slingshot and Wildrider are fully confirmed as they've shown up in a Diamond preorder listing:

Interesting what seems to show up at Winners. Ontario thread is has been reporting Roadbuster and Skybyte at Marshall's locations (unfortunately we only have one in Vancouver), and now they're reporting YOTH MP Optimus priced at $79.99 at Winners locations...
