have been working on this thing every now and then since half a year ago ever when AOE hotshot was released for 10 bucks at walmart rollback during xmas, but never bothered to make a post here on cybertron.ca until malwave complained about not reading TFW2005 customs forum, so here goes....
pretty self-explanatory if not obvious: upgrade parts to convert AOE deluxe hotshot (blue repaint of crosshairs) to tracks. obviously there will be flight mode for him
upgrade parts include:
- missile pack
- wings
- new head
points of interest:
- missile back compatible in both vehicle mode and robot mode
- 5mm ports on missiles to attach crosshairs' mini-guns
- wings on missile pack can be folded down and more concealed when not in flight mode (vehicle mode and robot mode)
- swappable faces for new head: G1 cartoon mouth face & G1 toy masked face (very tiny, handle with care!)
- backpack + missile + wings combine into an independent drone mode (tentative)
stuff are still WIP. the piece shown in TFCON is still WIP. hopefully i can get it to final before the end of the summer so i can release it on shapeways. will make an excellent road rage custom due to the slim body of the toy, but i will let the experts handle the total repaint to red...
and last but not least, many thanks to the judges at the 2015 TFCON toronto customs contest for awarding AOE tracks first place in the 3d art category!
