ROTF, BSG and Dead Snow! That is going to be a pricey Tuesday.

I only really want the steelbook but since I don't have a blu-ray player I might as well just pick up the Wal-Mart version with the "extra scenes" as long as it's a comparable price.

I just checked the Best Buy flyer, looks like they're only giving away a Fallen t-shirt as their exclusive with the Blu ray, and priced at $27.99 from Oct 20-22.

steel case, meh. Its not as good as the metal steel case with the decepticon symbol from the first movie. I'll pass. it's either walmarts extra scene or transforming BB from HMV.

Please don't get your hopes up on the IMAX Walmart Edition of ROTF. According to industry sources Paramount Home Video in Canada couldn't secure any copies for local distribution, which includes Canadian Walmarts.

So don't be too surprised if the Blu-ray IMAX edition doesn't appear at your local Walmart. So far there has been NO official word.

The IMAX edition includes an extra 1min and a half of footage and opens up from 2.4 to 1.78. Also, since no reviews have come in on this edition its conceivable that the IMAX sections are better quality transfers then the regular 2.35 sections of the film. Just like they were for the Dark Knight Blu-ray. As IMAX film has a much higher resolution than standard film.

I saw some videos on you tube of the imax vs regular... and ther does seem to be a slight difference in time.

FYI

To the OP, you mention DVD, but they are only offering the Steelbook promotion for the Blu-ray edition. The DVD gets nada.
