How do store your spring loaded missiles?

I always wondered about this. I'm not sure if I'm damaging the springs if I store the missiles loaded and ready to fire. I'm specifically talking about the ones I have on display but this can also apply to the ones you have stored in your storage bins, etc.

So what's the proper way of storing your spring loaded missiles?

i usually use ziplock bags for the weapons when storing into the tupper ware bins.but if it's on the shelf,if the missile can't attach to the bot besides in the gun,it gets stored.i've had a few times of a random missile shooting off, resulting in the old "move everything off the shelves to be able to move the whole shelf......for one missile that went under the shelf."

For the most part, I generally leave the missile right beside the figure in the display case. Occasionally, I will leave it loaded though. I see this as a built in security system for those who should not be in my displays. Touch the wrong bot, and Pow! Right in the eye!

most of them i have stored in those adjustable sized compartment boxes, others like seeker missiles and such that look ridiculous without them stay in the launchers

I prefer to keep most of my missiles loaded but not fully. With longer missiles you can usually just place them in the appropriate spot but not actually arm it. All the looks with none of the spring damage. This really made me appreciate the Hasbro Comparatives that omitted springs.

Re: How do store your spring loaded missiles?

I hate spring loaded missiles with every bone in my body. My car apparently has a blackhole under the passenger seat that eats them to say nothing about having to retrieve one too many from behind my bed. I have a king size mattress which sits on this massive solid wood frame. It does not move easily! Less so when its a little piece of evil plastic that i'm trying to retrieve from under it.

Excepting the seeker missiles already mentioned, which have their own little placeholder on the bot, every missile I own lives in a big pile in a box in my closet. I couldn't reunite them with their owners even if I wanted to there's so many in there but I could care less.

I disarm every bot as soon as it comes out of the box.

I keep my missiles loaded fully for the ones that don't use springs but the ones that do, they are partially loaded

In the guns...unless they are one of those "flame fire" type blasts i.e. Classics Hot Rod...then I put it in a baggy and ignore it until the end of time.

Personally I dont care about the missiles being able to fire or not, I just throw them all in a bag or something to prevent losing them.
