Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff

Quick question: For toys that have not been released yet, when should we submit the catalog as "finished"? I have some basic info up for the DC Universe All Stars, but won't know much else beyond the figures until they get released.

Thanks!

Hey jourdo. For catalogs that have more products to be released, all you need to do is build all of the products that've been announced so far, and mention in the catalog's description that more products are coming. When that's done, feel free to submit for approval. We'll then mark the catalog as "Ongoing", rather than "Complete". Sound good, mate?

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff

Okay, so I have a question about Impossible Toys.

They have a few different "non-transforming" figures. One existing such figure is Nightbird (not the transforming one, their other one) I have listed as a "Human" (so she doesn't have an alt mode) and allegiance is also Human (yes she was briefly controlled by the Decepticons, but I don't think you could classify her as one).

Anyways, my question is that Impossible Toys has announced three non-transforming figures, Vector Prime, Kranix, and Arblis.

Vector Prime I'm entering as a transformer with no alt mode, allegiance is autobot.

What about the two robots from Lithone, Kranix and Arblis? (e.g. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...20&mode=retail )

For now I've entered them as Transformers with "None." under alt mode. I've also put their allegiance as Human.

Any instructions on how I should handle this? Do we want to add Lithonian (sp?) as an allegiance (which would only apply to these two figures?). Instead of Transformers or Humans, should their "type" be something else?

Hi Jourdo,

To clarify further, the admins control the status on each catalogue. When you request a catalogue, part of the discussion may entail outlining for us whether the catalogue is complete or ongoing in terms of whether all products are already announced. From the curator side you just add products until you know you are up to date and then submit for approval.

James

Re: ShelfLife Beta Test Announcement: Very Exciting Stuff

Is there a policy on overlapping items? While using the site I've noticed some instances where the same item is listed under different sections, with different pages for the items. (For example, Masterpiece Starscream is listed under both the Classics section and the Masterpiece section.) This might cause confusion for people thinking they've already marked something as need/want or with matching things up when it comes to the buying/selling features of the site when it goes live.

Ya, but isnt the one with the sharper tailfins the Takara one (same as the US one in the same box but with the different tailfins and a sticker(?) in Japanese on the box)?

I thought there was only one Hasbro US release, which is in the Universe packaging but would technically be under the Hasbro Masterpiece envelope.
