Re: Hey guys, just arriving here from the year 1988

I was 12 in '88. If I'd timewarped to today, I'd have first been mindblown at what unbelievable TF figures we have now: MPs, 3p, CHUG and Generations, etc.

Then after reading fan forums a bit, I'd be completely baffled by why most fans considered things to be apocalypticly bad and worse than ever.

There have been some great toys. Nothing to compare to '84 & '85 though. They still work and they have a perfect balance of complexity and playability. I'd be interested to see how many MPs have just disintegrated in their boxes 30 years from now.

Careful with time travel. Change one little thing could possible mess up the present as you know it. Marty Mcfly and Home Simpsons knows.

Aaah, I see now.

Re: Hey guys, just arriving here from the year 1988

1988, eh?

Kindly deliver this message to Samantha Taylor of CBC's "Video Hits":

My dearest Sam:
  • Please remind Michael Jackson he's actually a black man and not a white woman. You'll be doing him a favor in the long run
  • Next year (1989) a British band called The Sundays will release their first album. I need you to convince them to make a comeback in 2015.
  • Despite numerous hits in '88, Rick Astley will fade into obscurity. At all costs please do nothing to help revive his career!
On second thought...take me with you to '88. I'd like to slap my younger self in the head for dressing up like Sonny Crockett and Eazy-E in one year.

This has happened, yet some of us still cannot believe it.

p.s. to keep this post morally Transformer related, I graduated Highschool in 88. A bunch of us rented tuxedos, rented a hotel room downtown during the Grad banquet.

We stayed up all night, went to Mont Royal to watch the sunrise, walked back down to the hotel, crashed for 2 hours, and woke up to watch 2 episodes of Saturday morning Transformers season 4.

Note to time-travelling self:
Repeat the Transformers viewing ONLY.
Everything else was a complete waste of time and money!
