AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

Name: Crosshairs
Faction: Autobots
Alt mode: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray
Size class: Deluxe

ROBOT MODE

ALT MODE

PROS
-quality plastic, good weight
-nice asymmetrical deco, the green is pretty vibrant in person, kinda sparkly
-3 guns
-weapon storage (the 2 small guns store under the side flaps, the bigger gun underneath the car)
-double-jointed elbows
-cool trenchcoat look

CONS
-head movement is restricted despite the use of a ball joint
-hindered shoulder movement because of the upper arm kibble
-car marking and details (front/rear lights) could have been painted to be more obvious

My favorite of the 4 AEO deluxes released so far.

---

Painted parts in car mode:

-entire hood (clear plastic painted green + black)
-upper side panels (clear plastic painted green + black)
-roof (clear plastic painted black)
-rear wheel wells (green plastic painted black)
-trunk (black plastic painted black + green)
-rear (green plastic painted black)
-rims(black plastic painted silver)

A LOT of paint as you can see. Just not a diverse mix of colors.

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

I wasn't planning on getting any movie TFs but this C7 is looking very cool. If they put out a HA line with better detail or MPM edition I may just bite.

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

Yeah, let's pray for a HA-like line to do the awesome AOE cars justice!

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

The kibble forms a trenchcoat... it's there on purpose.

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

I might see a trenchcoat f it actually pegged together but to me it looks like a hood, roof and door kibble. It wasn't a successful attempt IMO.

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

Yeah, I forgot that it was supposed to be a trench coat. I remember hearing that on podcasts but to see the figure "in person" really doesn't do my mental picture justice. Given the choice between another movie car mold and Dinobots... welll...

I saw a digibash of this guy as Override/Nitro Convoy. If they did that repaint with a new head, I might consider picking it up.

Re: AOE Deluxe Crosshairs

Looks like a really great alt-mode... wasted. Too much kibble generally interferes with the articulation. Trench coat, or not, it doesn't look good enough in robot mode for me to consider.

(at full price, at least)

Agreed.
This is more like carry the whole car on the back, it's a turtle-shell former.
