Simple Modification to Target Animated Shockwave

Hey Guys,

Just thought you'd like to see the basic change I made to the Target Animated Shockwave. I repainted his eye light yellow to make him more G1ish.

I was originally going to call this thread "Quick Modification to Target Animated Shockwave" but by no means was this quick to do.

The painting of the eye itself was quick, but the reasembly of Shockwave's head was not.

I disasembled Shockwave's head to paint the eye, but the problem with that is there is a small spring with helps with the transformation process, it took me almost an hour to get that spring back in place after alot of trial and error.

I'm not 100% happy with how the paint dried on the eye (I was using old paint that had thickened a bit) but I'm not going to even attempt to take apart the head again, but it looks okay for display.

Overall I'm happy with the result, and if you notice I kept the shoulder panels flipped down in this mode. I like the way the solid black looks, as oposed to the metallic red panels.

Cheers!
-Ian

That makes a surprisingly large difference. I think it looks awesome and I would defiantly consider doing this to mine.

I think the red eye looks better. I'm with Derrick Wyatt, The Animated designs just look... not right without red for bad guys blue for good guys.

I'm surprised you had to dissassemble the head to do that.

I dunno if I like that better or not as well.

It looks great, but it doesn't fit the Animated eye asthetic.

Considering doing this to mine, can you show us a picture of the figure with the Longarm face?
