All of this cancellation talk has me worried. At least the stores are opened next week, so people can hit a retail store.

If they even show up in store.
Plus store stock usually doesn't limit purchase amounts (ie the 5 per person limit online), so there's nothing to stop some asshat scalper from sweeping every copy off the shelves to resell on amazon or whatever.
They really need to figure out another way to do this. Why not let R club members do a reserve/pre-order on a single copy? I mean aside from the cost of setting up the system and the fact that their website is trash and wouldn't support it. So really it's kind of a rhetorical question.

Re: ToysRUs.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
I never would’ve expected Runabout to be such a pain in the ass character to get.
I’ve had Runamuck for months now, and I can understand the delays for Runabout- everything is delayed -but not the utter incompetence. The shit site, the incorrect listing, the invalid quantities, the cancellations. It shouldn’t be this difficult. I mean, he shouldn’t have been exclusive in the first place, because splitting teams/pairs between mass and limited release is shitty enough, but it really shouldn’t be hard to just put a toy up for sale.

This makes too much sense.

I honestly leave it in the car half the time
What good does it do anyways?
WM's Rewards MC at least nets you actual bonus funds that can be put towards purchases; once I started, now paying as many bills as I can off it, and using the Rewards bucks to reduce price of WM-purchased figs
R Club was/is a total rip, I even missed out on that sign-up coupon (sat on it until it expired, there wasn't ever a sale good enough imo to combo it on)
God don't get me thinking about the good old days of TRU's Hasbro Wonderful Winter Savings coupons (and the Sensational Summer Savings coupons), what a beaut period to be a TF collector

That kind of frustrates me too. What does it do besides maybe occasionally give you a coupon sometimes? and extend the return/price-match window?
There's no discount, no obvious/stated rewards/redemption program (ie get a $10 coupon for every $100 you spend) no exclusive item access, no online order queue-jumping.
I get that it's free so it's not like, say EB Edge where they're duty-bound to give you some kind of perks for paying for the card, but the way it exists now it's pretty much just "you let us more closely track your purchasing habits and in exchange we'll give you a piece of plastic to put in your wallet!"

You know what, I forgot that one - THAT is a good thing to have for free
and I can just keep "forgetting it in my car" if I really don't want them tracking my purchases
