Bitter sweet I suppose.

On one hand I'm happy that it did so well for the future of the brand. On the other I'm sad that Bay will be vindicated. Yes, AOE was better then 2 and 3, but far from it's potential.

Yeah, it doesn't matter if you hate Bayverse or not, any success inside of the brand is another success for us as a community because it means the brand is still alive. The toys are failing because they are crap and there too much of the same out there and if stores don't see them moving they will stop ordering them which means less product for us to get in the future.

You don't want Hasbro to think Transformers is dead, that it is a bleeding leg that needs to be cut off

The best advice to follow is: Enjoy and support the aspects of the brand you like, and leave the rest be. If the Bayverse movies and toys aren't for you, well, you still have Generations and Masterpieces. But don't forget that the ongoing success of the live action movies is what's fueling the ongoing success of the brand as a whole.
