I Have to Apologize to Animated Fans
No I still think Animated kinda sucks, but after seeing these pic's I have to agree with all those who complained about the translucent faction symbols on the Hasbro toys:

Dang! It just looks so much better in general. If they'd looked like this over here I probably would've collected the line, but as they are, I only bought one figure... for kitbash fodder.
Sadly I won't be importing the Tak versions. I just can't justify the added cost on these.

All I have to say is F**K!!I almost have the whole Animated line,yet the Japanese versions look better.I would love to have that Megatron toy....but I have that one!Ah f--!

I knpow I'll get stoned for this but the Megs toy never hit me.
I WOULD however like to see what they so with characters like Ultra Magnus, or Arcee (if and when they make her in japan)

It's because the colors were used in the 07 movie line and were gold and silver to try to make them "disappear" when in alt mode.
Personally I don't mind the gold and silver. and i also prefer the flat "cell shaded" colors of the american release over the metallic "realistic" colors of the Japanese version.
