Re: Post in this thread for help to identify a Transformers toy

Water Walk began life as Cessna Robo in Japan, released as a Machine Robo figure in 1984. The initial version was mainly white with blue legs, but Bandai took the unusual step of replacing this version with a revised scheme that a dark blue chest (with the legs changed to match; the shade used is almost purple) in robot mode midway through the production.

RELEASES:

1984, Machine Robo Series - MR-31: Cessna Robo (white chest version)

Hmmm, is there any brand stamping on the official robos? Mine has nothing but still looks like an original sans the wing stickers.

I remember getting a white version off that guy through an In-Station Shell gasoline promo. They offered a few other bots as well... I think one was an orange forklift.

Yea I also remember getting gobots from gas stations as well, but I'm pretty sure the blue chest version was one of those.

I think there was a blue guy that was a helicopter.

I think the WaterWalk they had had a red chest.

Re: Post in this thread for help to identify a Transformers toy

He is Voyager Sized then. On Ebay I have seen him referred to as part of Stealth Force or just as regular 2009 Rotf Voyager tank.
