The only redeeming value of the stupid hands would be if they can be used on the yet unknown mysterious ?*energon monsters*? figure. Maybe all the energon weapons and parts are meant to look good to upgrade that figure or something.

The core class weapons from Legacy all combine into one weapon so I could see them doing something like that.

it would be gag of the year if every single energon accessory tacked on the Legacy figures? Is required to build your energon monster, similar to the "fossilizer combiner"

of course, the fact that the EM is a standalone release, suggests at bare minimum a "Menasor style" frame that can be gussied up with (cars) energon accessories

Have they said what size class the Energon Monster is? Could honestly see that just being a Fossilizer repaint (Wingfinger hasn't had one yet).

What the hell are Legacy Blitz's giant hands supposed to be referencing, if anything? Thought I heard someone say it was an animation error where he had larger than normal hands

Which is fairly damning towards the character, if that's the best they could be assed to tack on

Dunno, i'm not really stoked on the energon-y weapons for Legacy in general... most of the bots look to have dumb weapons. But it's definitely not a "leader packin price justifier."

Like, voyager Prime with a trailer. Cool! Astrotrain with a coal box and buncha guns. Not... great but okay! shockwave with a bunch of stupid armor and a great voyager bot, dammit. Giant Grimlock, cool! Not quite giant Galvatron but great toy, okay!

It's just... weird.

They've been overcharging and giving us less for our dollar spent for a while now because they realize some will will buy regardless of price. For me, I've hit my limit.

Just a simple example to illustrate.

In 1984 a G1 Optimus Prime was $20 Can.
In 2008ish the 25th Anniversary Reissue cost $40 Can., which followed inflation. Look at all the stuff we got for that price.



In 2018, if the price followed inflation a Re-issue G1 Optimus Prime should cost around $50 Can. The Walmart Re-Issue of G1 Optimus Prime cost $70 Can. and this what we got for that money. No trailer. No extras. Just bare bones.

KFC Ditka is still the one that looks the most like the G1 Blitzwing we know and love in all 3 modes despite his back heaviness.

wait, what? Fake wings in robot mode...?

I'm not always opposed to "fake" hoods or things but wtf. eighty dollar leader figure. Every other blitzwing uses the same wings in both jet and robot mode.
