You can sign up for it (assuming you didn't already within the last year) and immediately cancel it thus no charge. You'll have one full month with prime regardless.

I signed up for Prime like 2 years ago, so I'd need to sign up for one year again at $79... :/

Try creating a second account or have a family member create one. Then sign up for free month prime promo
