Last I heard, "yes", and "soon". Though they've been difficult to find even in the states, and this was like a month ago, so who knows?

we would like to know why some figures are reissued time and again (example TF movie/07/09 voyager Prime ) and why some figures are never released a second time dispite the requests by consumers (example many of G1 pieces IE.. victory saber)

How does Hasbro feel about this in general?

Would Hasbro ever consider licensing/buying the rights to a custom figure so it could be mass produced or would legal considerations make this a non-starter?
Takara/Tomy already does this with fan produced (limited quanity) for Japan's wonderfest .

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

I'll try a couple...

-have the toy lines without 'gimmicks' (i.e. Classics, Animated) as successful in the entire marketplace than the toys lines with gimmicks (mechalive, cyberkeys, etc.)?

-it seems that leader and supreme class figures are more likely to end up on sale, and/or have a bigger price reduction than the smaller classes. Is this because they are less popular? Are these figures less likely to be produced as a result? (i.e. not creating a TFA Omega Supreme). Which size class does sell the best?

-recently Hasbro has been trying different colors for the faction symbols such as silver. What factors go into the design of the faction symbols? Have the new approaches proven successful? Are there any colors or faction symbol treatments that have proven a 'disaster'?

Can't meet safety laws, mold lost/damaged, too expensive, not enough potential return seen by HasTak, etc...

There's a big difference between reusing a mold for a movie franchise that's still active (and they usually do change the mold in some way), and dredging up a 20 year old japanese-exclusive toy for collectors.

Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome, but its usually just not feasible, especially on this side of the Pacific.

Will Canada see a release of Animated Rodimus Minor and Cybertron Mode Ironhide like the US will, or will they stay off the shelves like Arcee and Cybertron Mode Ironhide.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

I would like to know the porocess between deciding "character x" will be a tiy, and seeing "character x" on store shelves... how does the design process work? For non-canon characters (eg: Animated Oil Slick) - who comes up with the bios?
