Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

What is Hasbro's position regarding leaked/stolen samples, people who sell them, people who buy them, people who review them, people who make money reviewing them and sites that frontpage them?

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Not so much a question, but can you take us through the design process of a Transformer. Do you choose a character and go from there? Find a cool looking vehicle and figure out what it can turn into and who it can fit? Basically, how does the whole design process work?

I guess I did manage to make that into a question afterall.

Great question, and something I do hope comes back at some point.

Maybe I need to venture out of my bubble once and a while, but how do you make money off of reviewing these? (maybe this thread isn't the right place to add this, so I apologize if that is the case)

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

There has been a huge increase in the number of fan designed/built add-ons for official hasbro/takara products, and in some cases entirely new figures.

How does Hasbro feel about this in general?

Would Hasbro ever consider licensing/buying the rights to a custom figure so it could be mass produced or would legal considerations make this a non-starter?

they have been asked this at botcon, and had a good response to it, check tfw's botcon reports from last year

on topic, is Toshiba bringing the whole Device Label line over to America?

Ya know, you should probably ignore my pants question and go with Brr-icy on this one.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still love to know if they hate pants.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Why are toys like ROTF Leader Jetfire or HFTD Leader Starscream not using the voice they had in the movie?

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

What is the Canadian distribution system like for Transformers? Where do figures arrive in Canada? Where do they go from there? How do they get to stores? Is the system the same for other lines?

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Seeing how the new Generations line has taken the place of the old Classics/Universe 2.0 line, is there any chance that we might see new molds for the following characters: Autobot Jazz, Wheeljack, and Autobot Trailbreaker? Old G1 fans would LOVE to see them.

Re: Post your questions for the Hasbro Transformers Q&A

Can you go into more detail about how collaboration between Hasbro and Takara works, especially in terms of design? Is bilingualism a necessity for wokring in design, or are translators used extensively? Are there certain aspects of the design process that each company is specialized towards?
