I prefer G1 cuz that's what I grew up with, but there're some Animated that I love. In terms of what I collect, it's more a matter of which toys speak to me rather than specific lines or characters...though I must admit to having a soft spot for Snarl and Grimlock.
I'm a CRAZY collector! But seriously most of my stuff is loose except the japanese and Titanium stuff where I kept the packages. I started with the Cybertron legends figures back in '06 when my son was 2. Then got into the movie stuff and then Universe and Classics. I typically buy what I like visually and if it doesn't look good to me, it doesn't cut it. So I switched a good chunk of my Classics/Universe to Henkei and have a good number of the United collection as well.
