That's pretty much my take on things. No two "classics collections" are alike. Some might want them all, some might only want North American character, some might want only G1 cartoon characters. All depends on what your classics collection is.

Re: How Important Are......To A Classics?
I have to say that they are important because of what they represent in character wise. The fact that they are an exclusive repaint of an already released mold make that hefty price tag very hard to swallow. I like how Ehobby released a three set and wish companies like MDP would follow suit. It would make that major purchase easier to justify.

Re: How Important Are......To A Classics?
IMHO Stepper has a great look, I mean the black on gold? Gorgeous! I think Artfire is less visually stunning, but cool in that he was so rare as a geewun and will remain so as a classic.

Steep price negates necessity of a glorified repaint.

Re: How Important Are......To A Classics?
Up until recently I had never really heard of either character, so they are not very important to me at all. For me a "classics character" was one that appeared in the cartoon or the animated movie.

My constantly poor motto is: If it ain't hanging out on the shelves at Wal-Mart or TRU, it ain't getting into my collection.

Re: How Important Are......To A Classics?

I'm starting to feel this exact way.
