Platinum Edition Unicron Revealed
After a long period of waiting, the silence has finally broken. Thanks to autobase aichi and site sponsor Robot Kingdom, we have our first look at the upcoming Platinum Edition Unicron figure! A repaint of the original mold, Unicron is sporting a look very faithful to the original Transformers Movie and comes with a Kranix mincon. The packaging features some very detailed artwork of Unicron taking the damaged bodies of Megatron, Skywarp, Thundercracker, and the Insecticons as he prepares to reformat them. Agreed. I'm still very happy with the original Armada Unicron.
If I ever find it for a reasonable price, though, I'd love that black energon repaint.

Gosh, remember when the idea of getting a figure of Unicron was a fever dream? Now we're up to what, 7? 8? It's nice but not sure I'd buy him a 3rd time without it being a new mold.
Incidentally, which version has been the best so far? I'd go with the Amazon exclusive 25th Anniversary myself.

I don't know why Hasbro is yet another release of a nearly 14-year old Supreme-class mould when, if it were me, I'd be redesigning Unicron for the larger Titan-class price-point we have now. That's how you'd get me to shell out $150+ CDN for a Unicron toy. He seems like he'd be made for it, frankly.
