Great read. Heart-wrenching and inspirational at the same time. Kind of makes you feel lucky for what we have, and makes you think twice about some of the things we take for granted.

As a fan of both Transformers and of poker, it's quite interesting to learn the man that kicked off the inspiration for this mutual fandom we all share is also a kickstarter of the modern poker craze. I'm also a fan of hockey so in hindsight, it was just fortuitous timing that hockey guys like myself went stir crazy looking for something to do during the NHL lockout in 04/05 and poker ended up catching fire during the lockout.
