Of the few things I appreciated the Prequels for it was Yoda's use of a lightsaber that I liked. Not because it was "cool" but because it nicely set up how he didn't use (or perhaps have) one by the time Luke finds him on Dagobah. He was so powerful that he didn't need a weapon anymore.

We can only hope Luke is at Yoda-level or perhaps above in Episode VII. But he still has to have the green-bladed sword based on Obi-Wan's hilt unless the Graflex-hilted Anakin saber is so important to the story that his green saber is excised to move the story along. I'll reluctantly accept that.

I don't think it's even been hinted what side Luke is on in this film, light, dark, or somewhere in between.

I'm finding it a bit suspicious we're not seeing him in the trailers. People of the world would drop a collective planetary-deuce if the first we see of him, he steps out wearing Vader-black and crushing someone's throat with the force.
