WTF!.... Ok, I'm not the biggest Burke fan, but why now? It's rather silly. Makes the franchise look like they don't know what they're doing.

BUT, I read that one of the many reasons Burke fired was he was opposed to acquiring Luongo, while the ownership was keen on it. Good news for us Canucks fans if they can fleece TO in a trade.

But due to them throwing Saturday's game, they pretty much ensured that they'd be swept by Boston in the first round.

If they were against Montreal, at least there'd be a decent chance they'd get to the 2nd round.

Obviously Ottawa did all they could last night to avoid facing the Pens in the first round.

So Ottawa literally killed 2 birds with one stone.
