Need opinions on Prime FE Optimus & Megatron

Hi all,
I picked up the Prime FE Deluxe Optimus & Megatron 2pk as well as the RID Voyager Optimus & RID Voyager Megs during the recent TRU sale. I haven't opened them up yet, because I'm trying to decide if I should just return the FE 2pk. I'm trying to limit myself and stay away from getting too many versions of the same figures. Is there something particularly noteworthy about the FE Deluxe figures that makes them stand apart from the RID Voyagers?

Better paint jobs in some cases, slightly better molds and transformations...really up to your personal preference on a case by case basis.

Megatron's great, and I like him loads better than the voyager.

If you're having doubts about the extras, then just keep what you like (for example, the Megatron as I did) & sell the other contents online. Since you got it on sale then you're even better, as even if you sell em cheap you'll come out like if you bought a cheap deluxe. If it's the kids or Optimus that you mainly like (I was especially fond of the metal flaked plastic, paint & alt mode), then keep that & do the same thing.

I'd take the Voyagers back if you're only going to keep one version of Optimus and Megatron. But then, I don't think very highly of that Voyager Optimus. If it were the First Edition Voyager Optimus and Prime Voyager Megatron vs. the entertainment pack, then my opinion would be different.

scale wise, the voyagers looks better displayed with the deluxes.
but if you want to keep then individual, take your pick.

Deluxe prime is a great figure

I like both versions. My only complaint with Voyager Prid Megs is his arm cannon. Since I repaint my stuff, his lack of paint accuracy isn't an issue for me. His deluxe is just as nice as far as I am concerned.
As for the Primes, imo it is no contest between FE and Prid voyager. IF you dont have the FE one, you should track it down. Prid is nice, but no FE. The deluxe, my complaint would be his arms otherwise he's a pretty neat deluxe.

If I do decide to keep both versions, I'll likely display one set in robot mode and the other in vehicle mode. Which set gets which treatment will depend on my preference once I open 'em up.

Thats what I have done. Since the ent pack was avialable first many went with those. Once the voyagers arrived I just displayed them in bot mode and the ent pack figs in their alt modes.

Well I have the FE Optimus Voyager, FE ENT 2 pack OP VS Megs as well as TWO sets of Optimus and Megs PRiD Voyagers. I love them ALL! The FEs have great paint apps and the PRiD are a great figure at a nice size. Why 2 sets of PRiD Voyagers? 2 to keep MISB and 2 to open. From a collectors POV... KEEP the ENT 2 pack sealed for collecting purposes (sets are ALWAYS nice) and go ahead and play&display your voyagers
