Some quick thoughts on TFA Leader Megatron and Leader Bulkhead...

LEADER MEGATRON

PROS

-very poseable in robot mode: head, shoulders (2), biceps, elbows, wrists, hips, knees (2), ankles
-phrases, sounds, lights
-when he talks, you can push the Decepticon symbol as you wish to synchronise the mouth with the speech
-fusion cannon
-swords
-Headmaster-compatible

CONS

-transformation is way too lazy and simplistic for a Leader, especially coming after Movie Leaders
-helicopter mode isn't the best... tail looks unfinished
-2nd front landing gear is useless
-Headmaster fits but doesn't trigger any new phrase
-unpainted Decepticon symbol (could still have been purple or translucent purple)

LEADER BULKHEAD

PROS

-decently complex transformation
-nicely poseable: shoulders (2), biceps, elbows, left claw, hips, knees (2)
-lights, sounds and phrases
-gimmicks (blade and claw) work very well
-Headmaster
-chair mode!
-missiles and turret cannons
-better detailed than the Voyager version with tank threads under the feet and rivets and bolts everywhere in truck mode
-super transformation (slower and "crunchier" version)
-in truck mode, the siren will go on as long as you will hold down the button

CONS

-head can't be posed
-head turns to the left while talking... it looks a bit stupid
-you cannot synchronize the mouth with the speech as unlike Megatron, every time you push the button it jumps to the next phrase
-Headmaster doesn't have a robot mode
-saw blade is only painted on one side
-turret can't turn (that's understandable though)

---

Do I like Megatron? Yes. I don't care much for the chopper mode but the robot mode is excellent. Still far from being the ultimate incarnation as others have been saying. In my book, MP-05 is still the best; as for a mainline Megatron, I think I still prefer Movie Megatron (despite not being as poseable - at least there's a transformation going there...) and G1 Megatron (I still can't believe how complex/clever that toy is despite its age).

Do I like Bulkhead? Yes. More than the Voyager version? Yes. If the head could be posed, it would be perfect. Some are complaining about the saw hand, I think it's really cool. For me, Bulkhead is far superior to Megatron as a Leader class figure. Better transformation and more features for the same price.

Glad to see you received them safe and sound, Pascal.

Pascal sez: "Do I like Bulkhead? Yes. More than the Voyager version? Yes. If the head could be posed, it would be perfect. Some are complaining about the saw hand, I think it's really cool. I do agree on everything you said. I was pleasantly surprised by Leader Bulkhead; Leader Megs' design is awesome and menacing but overall, it's a weaker toy. Still fun, but not as much as Bulkhead, IMO.

Always thoughful you are... but now I want Megs even more than Bulkhead. Scale wise I could do without Leader Bulkhead but I needs the Headmaster me thinks

Do ya think Headmaster is going to fit on Sentinal Prime or anyone else? He better... for the play factor

Sentinel Prime is a deluxe toy, so it won't fit, but I'm pretty sure it'll fit Leader Ultra Magnus too (you can see the slots).

Nice review, I have to say not being that great a fan of Bulkhead after seeing the leader in person at Botcon and hearing your thoughts on him he's a must have that's for sure. Megatron looks....well not good let's just stick with that lol
