This is one of those projects that sat on the shelf way too long...I procrastinated due to anticipated difficulty, and in hindsight, it wasn't too bad.
Okay, first I started with a KO Kabaya model kit that I purchased a couple of years ago from Toyhell:
I started by assembling the entire kit first, because the parts had considerable flash and fit/finish issues. The scale was very, very small and the plastic is a bit rubbery:
This is what I ended up with...all the wrong colors, but the sculpt was very promising. During the assembly process I also got a feel for which parts were loose (where I'd allow a build up of paint), which parts I could leave their original color (I always avoid paint where I can) and which parts needed tweaking and clearances.
Here's the final result next to the boxes and instructions.
Here he is compared to the other WST KO out there, which has a really odd arm that seems to be a retool of double dealer...finally, a WST in scale AND with the appropriate arm!!!
Yep, each guy has a breastmaster!
