It ain't over

Yesterday, my wife accidentally dropped our 10-year-old cell phone (still using the original battery!) in the parking lot at Wal-Mart. It was pouring rain and a car rolled on it before someone thought it would be a good idea to bring it back inside the store just in case. Guess what? The damn thing is still working! Sure, the screen is completely fucked up, you can't see what you're dialing or anything, but it's still working. Crazy.

My first cellphone lasted FOREVER. I eventually gave it to my Mom as her first cellphone, and eventually, instead of the phone dying, she just simply lost the phone somewhere..

These days I am lucky if any phone, or any technology for that matter, lasts me more than a month over the 1yr warrenty...

When I went camping with my family back in 06,we left our cellphone outside when it rained for a few hours. When we finally recovered it,the cellphone worked perfectly, just severely soaked.

Best bet my LG won't survive in a situation like that.

It's the case with pretty much everything... And that's probably why I'm training and racing on a 1992 mountain bike. Go retro!
