Anyways, back on track. What will the case be made of?
If glass, you could make the shelf distance fairly close to Uranos' height, since he'll still be visible from various angles.
If the shelves are opaque or reflective, then I'd say at least making the shelf 1.5x to 1.75x the height of Uranos. This will leave room for external light to shine in and eliminate the upper shelf's shadow from concealing Uranos' upper half. Then again, you could use the extra space overhead to install some sort of lighting. Also, it will add more vertical room for posing the figure dynamically. As an added bonus, if you ever re-purpose the shelf for a larger figure, you don't have to move the shelves.
Also, it might be important to find out how wide Uranos is in addition to the height.
