I'd go with ROTF Leader Prime. That's a good one for folks, OP is easily recognizable and I think the majority of people know he's supposed to be a Truck. I think Prime is challenging enough, yet not impossible without instructions.

Plus you want to keep it "Fun" for non-transformers fans. Making it overly difficult isn't your goal here.

You don't want the hardest. Go for the recent geNerations Soundwave or whatever it is. Tricky but not too tricky. Bonus for launching lazerbeak. Winner keeps the toy.

+1 vote for ROTF Prime. He's difficult, durable, and definitely recognizable. In fact, I've had friends ask me for difficult Transformers, and ROTF Prime is always the one I pull off the shelf. My Prime has been fondled by many inexperienced hands XD
