Re: New collector with a few questions

I made the mistake of buying a KO G1 Devastator. Hook's leg snapped the first time I transformed him and Scrapper wouldn't into Devastator's torso attachment. Beware.

Re: New collector with a few questions

Welcome to the boards and you've picked a good time to start collecting. The Masterpiece line has exploded in the last couple of years and they are awesome pieces! The regular lines have gotten so much better over the past few years too. The engineering behind them is fantastic.

If you are looking for older items keep an eye on the "For Sale" boards here. You will find some great deals on items that have been well-cared for.

As for the Dinobots I'm kind of surprised Takara/Hasbro hasn't done any new Generations Voyager Dinobots. The FOC Grimlock was okay (barely) but I'd like to see a G1 version of the Dinobots done with all the modern engineering. Maybe soon?

Enjoy!

Re: New collector with a few questions

join the movement and stop supporting k.o! k.o are the sole reason i would never buy vintage g1s on ebay. there's sites out there that shows the difference, but once they're out of packaging its hard to tell unless you have the real thing to compare it with...or have a good eye. another thing is...all these "new" k.o good quality or not they're not cheap. i mean all these new k.o mps on ebay are like 40-50 bucks. also how about the voyager classics optimus prime mold. they're selling those for even more then the original toy sold for, some variations even more.
