Question SDCC 2012 your thoughts

It has been a week since SDCC, What did you think of it overall? Best or Worst? Were you impressed or disappointed. This can be about anything.

Me personally, I love Marvel Legends upcoming waves, kudos to Hasbro.

Re: SDCC 2012 your thoughts

- I find the Kre-o combiners to be silly but has potential with spare parts.
- Thundertron is crap.
- HTS should have had more stock of exclusives so I could have bought some (my gripe)
- FOC is looking okay. Bruticus has arm length and a hand issue according to reviews. Good thing I can fix that.
- FOC Deluxe Prime is TOO small.
- Don't really collect the ML figs but some look pretty nice.
- Didn't really check out the Joes but I REALLY wanted the exclusive Jinx's. and Hiss Shocktank
- Didn't check out SW stuff either.

Overall kinda disappointed but potential to get better

I think it's bullshit the dealers could go and bu ythe exclusives before the show even opened to the public. they just turn around and sell it for three times the price.

I'm not paying 90$ for a Derpy >.>

Hasbro showed us a lot of love, & I'm looking forward to Grimlock & DJ Blaster

Those new TMNT Classic figures look fantastic.

Also, now that larger Marvel Legends are a Thing again, maybe I'll be able to sell the rest of my ML's...

Re: SDCC 2012 your thoughts

I don't think I'll waste any effort going to Botcon when SDCC seems to just have more of what fans want.

I love the new Kreons and the combiners. Don't like how it's not all 5 in a combiner, but I'll live.

Thundertron might be the only "animal" mode transformer outside of anything from G1 that I really like. I'm not sure about the head, but the overall look of the figure I really like. I would have liked a normal scabbard, but again I'll live.

FOC Prime isn't really that small. I have him on my shelf and I don't mind him there at all. It doesn't mean they won't make a Voyager sized Prime. See Soundwave for more details.

On that topic, I really wouldn't be surprised to see a Voyager class Onslaught somewhere down the line that improves upon the deluxe and still combines.

I was really hoping we'd see more CV commander and legion stuff but overall I'm happy with what we got.

Re: SDCC 2012 your thoughts

You know the only thing i saw that i liked was Thundertron. I'm a fan of the beastformers but hee really called out to me. Though if further down the line they come out with a version of thundertron done in oh i don't know yellow, red, and black and name him razorclaw that will be preordered and boughten so fast i'd break the sound barrier. I also dig his decepticon insignia where it appears swords are at the bottom of them? Is a pirate? Part of a secret decepticon sub faction? Also with the introduction of Thundertron how much longer do you think it'll take before Tf:Prime Dinobots are shown.

Re: SDCC 2012 your thoughts

Sort of related.

Hasbrotoyshop.com has the Terrorcon Cliffjumper available again at this moment, as well as the Shield Helicarrier. Apparently the Star Wars Carbon Chamber was up this morning. Maybe Bruticus is still popping on and off.

I am hoping both Kim Arishikage's a.k.a. Jinx's go back up for sale too.

Re: SDCC 2012 your thoughts

Whoever works @ HTS fixed my items to show as $20 each on the FedEx form (so saved a bunch on GST), but FedEx will ding you $10 + tax at the door for their brokerage fee. Just an FYI...
