TF fandom is like a circle.

Step 1: Something comes out
Step 2: Fandom hates it
Step 3: Fandom loves it after
Step 4: Return to Step 1

Beast Wars/TFTM 2007/Animated will RUINED TRANSFORMERS FOREVER.

Re: Old hilarious thread about TFTM1

It seems several fans have a really hard time accepting lines with non-G1-ish aesthetics like the ones you mentionned. I like change. Especially when it's radical.

You know one thing I'd like to see? Something in the style of Trans-Scanning figures.

Suppose you have 10 core bodies. 5 Autobots, 5 Decepticons. Each one sold with a set of parts to transform it into something. But later down the line, kits are offered so they can have totally new alternate modes. Exemple.

WAVE 1 AUTOBOTS (core body + parts = $20)

1. Optimus Prime earth mode (semi truck)
2. Bumblebee earth mode (car)
3. Ironhide earth mode (SUV)
4. Ratchet earth mode (ambulance)
5. Jazz earth mode (car)

WAVE 2 (parts only - $15)

1. Optimus Prime cybertronian vehicle
2. Bumblebee cybertronian vehicle
3. Ironhide cybertronian vehicle
4. Ratchet cybertronian vehicle
5. Jazz cybertronian vehicle

WAVE 2 (core body only - $7)

1. Optimus Prime core body
2. Bumblebee core body
3. Ironhide core body
4. Ratchet core body
5. Jazz core body

WAVE 3 (parts only - $15)

1. Optimus Prime beast form
2. Bumblebee beast form
3. Ironhide beast form
4. Ratchet beast form
5. Jazz beast form

Etc.

I don't think that would work as a mainline, but it would deffinately be cool as a side line.

Hehe, I remember thinking along similar lines when I first saw these things come out. I was more appalled at the lack of G1 recognition.

All that went out the window when I first saw Blackout take out the base in Qatar!! Loved it!!

Why not? It's easy, you only need a show to justify it. A bit in the style of Cybertron, Transformers going from planet to planet in search of something, adapting their alternate mode to each environment. Such a line would offer a new level of playability. Because each series is based on a gimmick you know.
