Re: POTP impressions
I think we got spoiled by TR being the middle phase of this trilogy.
Then again, I got dinobots! Woohoo ..... hopefully some KO OS come out to fix my headcannon scale issues with them.
Then I can just keep the Hasbro ones in combined mode.
Also I think the Legends here are the best molds so far, really continuing what they started in previous releases.

I agree, they were easily the most inventive toys I bought from the line so far.

Re: POTP impressions
No issues with my grimlock, haven't tried combine mode yet.
Feel a bit underwhelmed with the figure, the giant tail and belly makes it feel out of proportion.

I think Slash is my favorite... and I was originally going to pass on her.

Re: POTP impressions
I haven't bought anything but this thread is not encouraging me to
IDK most of the figures look crappy, compared to CW and TR, there's obvious design flaws (or at least questionable choices). And considering the hype train leading up to POTP, I feel like the mild disappointment expressed in this thread will only increase with time
So I guess, thank you guys for saving me money

Re: POTP impressions
I would also like to give a big thanks to Hasbro for saving me money. Was excited to know that the Dinobots were being made, but with them scaling at deluxe/voyager and not voyager/leader made it an easy pass. Maybe Wei Jiang will bless us with some OS Dinos

Re: POTP impressions
At this point my only POTP purchase is increasingly looking like it's gonna be the Unite Warriors Blast Off that I saw is getting a release on Facebook the other night.
I think I'm probably gonna get out of serious Transformers collecting at this point. Sell a lot, keep the core figures, maybe give the Star Wars Black line a go. Lot of good Imperial/First Order figures to collect. POTP ain't doing much for me beyond a proper Blast Off.

Re: POTP impressions
Windcharger is a new mold and has a good transformation so he's a recommend from me. Slash = no-brainer recommend. Beachcomber has a simple transformation but it's Beachcomber so he's also a recommend for me. Shrapnel pass because I got him the first time 2 years ago.

I have to admit, after Titans Return was so much fun with a bunch of new transformation schemes and fun interactivity (switching heads that could turn into robots that populate bases) going back to combiner wars where every deluxe has to conform to a specific general shape with simple engineering was quite underwhelming. And I dont find either voyager to be winners either. Grimlock really suffers aesthetically from having to combine.
I recomend the Legends class though, those were all fun and unique with the interactivity I like
