Love it. Is it perfect? No. Is it a true representation of G1 Jetfire? No.

So what? It looks great and is Leader class, so it will be nnice and big, which the character should be.

My only concern is what does this mean for any future MP Jetfire?

If this real than I really want to see how they can milk this mold. King Atlas/MW Starscream/Skyquake remolds/repaints would be pretty nifty.

There's always the chance that Takara could do with what they did with the movie MP figures: give premium releases and MP packaging to the leader molds.

There have been plenty Masterpiece-grade redesigns of the Valkyrie toy that Jetfire was based on released as part of the Macross line. Get one of those and put an Autobot sticker on it and you should be good to go.

An MP Jetfire would be absolutely amazing but with the way Harmony Gold went after Hasbro with this years SDCC GIJoe/Transformers crossover exclusive it isn't likely to see anything of the sort. A G1 Jetfire is not going to happen unless that undisclosed deal included the rights to the figure again.
