Toronto Hot Spots

I am heading to toronto for work this week and I'm wondering if there are any places I shouldn't miss for TF shopping. I think I only have Thursday and Friday evening. Any help would be great!!

Can't really tell you. TFs are actually more expensive if you try to buy them from places other then big name retaliers but on the other hand...they'll be bound to have things big name retails won't have yet.

But I'd recommend checking out Anime X Treme on Spadina, and Silver Snail Comics on Queen street.

Also suggest Toys, Toys, Toys on level 2 of the eatons center. Not the latest stock, but also lots of things you might of missed.

Only a 10% markup? They must be having a "sale"

Sorry, IMO no real spots in TO have great prices/selection on TFs other than what's been mentioned. But there's also Toys2 in First Markham Place if you have time go make it up there (tbh they've been pretty dry of TFs lately. Some Alternity, but go mostly for other action figure stuff)

Passific Mall up in Scarbrough also carries a few TF Imports...look at Gundam Base and My Toys, they usually have the Japanese Universe Ultras, bineltechs and alternities.

There's a small collection of TakaraTomy stuff in the Aura Model Shop at 10 Dundas East, too.

(Although, if you felt like switching to the dark side and trying some Gundam stuff, they would have rather more options there.)

Re: Toronto Hot Spots

Silver Snail on Queen and Spadina is Geek Heaven. They some some TF's, not a huge stock but they have some and they sometimes have vintage/open package stuff in a display case in the back.

Give yourself a good half hour to look around. It's two floors of Toy/Comic/Geeky goodness.

I went to NYC two years ago and none of the stores I visited there even compared to Silver Snail.

Good Luck!

Cheers!
