ROTF movie homages (SPOILERS)
Wanna review the new ROTF movie? Then Take it outside!!
(mainly to: (SPOILERS ALLOWED) Transformers RoTF Your Reviews )
This thread is only for discussing the ROTF movie homages to G1 Transformers and other series.
Some homages I found:
-Sam's visions and knowledge of the truth was a clear homage to Buster in the Marvel comics after he was downloaded the Matrix
-The Fallen said "I am Alpha and Omega" = direct homage to BW; Megatron reading the covenant of Primus

would toys count? if so i noticed that the new rotf dirge is the most g1ish rotf seeker toy.he has a cone head, fans on his chest,and those to things coming up from the shoulder.very g1ified.

When Sam has his breakdown in class he clearly blurts out Sentinel Primes Name. He also appears to be explaining what sounds like mass displacement.
Not Transformers but when Sam stomps on Leo's phone, he says "they can track you on these things" which I believe may be a reference to Eagle Eye, one of Shia's other movies.

Sure, if you want. 
I'm surprised that any ROTF toy is G1-ish. I found the 1st movie Decepticons look like insectoid robots, while the Autobots are mainly endo-skeletons with paneling.
Nice to hear the new movie toys are better!

Yah, he mentioned space bridge or something about interdimensional travel.
Yah, I also noticed non-TF homages, too.

Yup The Fallen never did say the A&O.
another G1 homage is
Clones/repaints/Seekers of random Constructicons.
and on a Constructicon note, they alone are already a homage as they can combine.

That's not an homage, really. That's a direct reference. Homages in this case would be stuff that is implied to be something but isn't directly stated as such, more or less, kinda sorta. Devastator is Devastator, he's not a Devastator homage.
But I'm splitting hairs there, really. Back to the topic!
