The official Takara Tomy Transformers Twitter have just shared production sample images of the new*Studio Series 86 Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Grimlock, Jazz & Scourge. These new toys were just officially revealed today*for the US market, and now Takara Tomy have just confirmed that they pre-orders for the Japanese market will be available next month. I would have happily traded Wheelie to give Grimlock a sword, but other than that, they’re perfect

Grimlock's dino mode legs are derpy in the shot, but there seems to be a pin on the inner thigh that would let him bend his knees. I hope that's the case. He looks absolutely amazing and I hope they pull off the other dinobots in the same style.
Funny how it looks like they attached his arms on the wrong sides, but the elbows appear correct. Maybe his dino wrists can swivel.

I think it's the same shiny silver paint that's on his feet and grille section of the car.
It IS quite shiny, though.
Also, I like the transparent plastic on Grimlock's neck section.
