What annoys you most about big box retailers ?

For me personally it would have to be lack of product. More so stores moving old waves out slowly & bringing in the next wave seems to take too long.

Also another pet peeve of mine is people taking too long in the cashiers line especially @ Walmart. Some people go into the express lane with far too many items meanwhile I usually only have 1-2 items.

Would like to hear from all of you about what annoys you most about big box retailers ?

way too long to get new product. Very little creativity/flexibility in ordering (some places one can find the person responsible and ask them to order what you want). As for things like too many items or budging or just general community rudeness. In a friendly, non-chalant way, speak up! Sometimes there's a hostile response, sometimes an acquaintance, eveeytime feels better than silent endurance and subsequent brooding. Maybe try, "hi, I have less than X items, mind if I go ahead?" Whatever you do, don't (directly) accuse and don't get mad!

That we are overlooked when it comes to product especially end of series /line those figures that get release in U.S,in the rest of the world but some how never make it here.

for TFs they always order too much of the first wave (probably some kind of incentive) and none of the last wave.

for other toys they always order too much of a given wave and they pegwarm/shelfwarm like crazy so the stores miss the subsequent waves.

For me it's always those check out person so hard to deal with when comes to price match, etc.

That is the most damning thing about most every retailer, they'll maybe get the first wave of a new line in January and that is all you'll see till August or July if you're lucky.

The over ordering and shelfwarming of certain waves also factors into the way that over the years, waves have been skipped in Canada but not in the US, which especially sucks when they are good waves like the one with Arcee and Brainstorm and if you're where I live almost the entire Prime toyline.

1) The lack of competition in Canadian retail. With Target gone our options are WM or TRU and for some only one or the other or none at all.
2) Poor distribution. With our vast country it is often difficult to get newer items in stock at our local stores. This may also be a symptom of mass ordering first waves of stock and items shelf warming as mentioned previously.
3) Pricing. The differance in pricing between our neighbours to the south is often ridiculous.
4) Messy toy isles. I prefer to do my hunting during the week to avoid the rape scene left behind from all the children on the weekends.
5) Slow checkout. I agree with the slow check out lines as previously mentioned.
