Who are the 10 ten most overrated G1 Characters?

Gee transbot90210,... since all the transformers we stolen form Japan and the Japanese continued long after hasbro gave up,even tied in the time line between Tv series and the 86 movie..(scramble city). which would mean Magnus and crew appeared in Japan before the movie that would really limit the G1 charaters in your universe.

Dinobots for me. They never really fit into the robots in disguise idea for me. How many humans were fooled when they seen dinosaurs in the cartoon and did not feel they may be more then meets the eye. Also they never made sense how how they came to life.

I agree with transbot when we're talking about figures. the original G1s had a look and feel that was not reproduced by later toys

That's because Takara were evolving. By the time Victory started airing, their designs started gearing towards a more.. (to quote Vangelus..) "anime" look. Very Gundam-y.

Victory, Zone, and OC were all just bridges towards Takara's Brave series that followed after.

And mind you, the "original" G1's were "originally" Diaclone. Basically it was just a different toyline that was slapped with the Transformers brand logo.

going to have to go with the 84 crew for overrated, just because of people pretending it's the be all end all of transformers. which would make them overrated as there's a ton of years and hundreds of characters after

People mock Starscream for his constant failures but Optimus could have ended Megatron 100 times over and stupidly took the high-road each time.

Then Megatron is even worst - he didn't take the high road but still failed to win the war

But seriously that reason why I like IDW rendition of Prime is that they have a more realistic portrait of the leader. But I supposed the G1 animation is to sell toys not to tell a great story.

Anyway, I think the most overrated G1 character is Unicron. The worst foe TFs have to face? Please!
